Our Cool Holiday Photo That Couldn't Get Printed in Maui

All of us were here for a week, and the photo included is the three of us on a whale watch. It is illegal to get into the water with whales unless you are a researcher with a permit (like dad when he goes out). But our captain let us hang over the boat (hanging on to our leg) with a mask on our face to get around this. The other passengers thought we’d lost it. The whales were RIGHT THERE. It was so amazing. I would do that again before jumping out of a plane amazing. SO, you get a photo of not my best look- just a great moment.

We saw yearling male whales, but at the end we saw a mom (she was so huge!) her week old baby and a male escort...Mom and Dad actually threw themselves hanging over the side of the boat, heads in the water (mask on) to see them as no one ever gets to see them- it was amazing!

1. (while going poo poo in the potty) After 30 minutes of a productive sit-in, I ask Phoenix if he is done and he replied, "No, Mommy- it's stuck."
(ps. it is all the funnier when you didn't know he knew the word stuck nor how to use it.)

2. (me, climbing on counter to find his allergy medication up high where I may have hidden it) Phoenix with great alarm shouts, "Mommy! No! Be Cawe-foo! Get DOWN! GET DOWN!" I tried to reassure him that I was big and was just trying to get his medicine- to which he just repeated himself and went off on a tangent (unintelligible) with words like, "head" and "fall" hurt".

Josh came in to see what the noise was about, saw me and said, "be careful...get down from there"- and Phoenix looked at him and said (very clearly and seriously) "Thank you, Daddy" (in sweet baby voice).
